This is a short one page written assignment that connects nursing theory with protocols/policies existing within facilities. Objectives 1) Evaluate a patient-centered clinical protocol or policy using evidence-based practice and a nursing theory. 2) Describe relevant theories that support inter-professional collaborative practice. Module C Textbook and other Readings:  Chapters based upon selected theorist/theory  Hospital or other facility policy/protocol  Additional literature, i.e. journal articles, etc NOTE: IF you currently do not work in a health care facility, you can access generic hospital policies/protocols online. You may use one of these published policies/protocols for this assignment. You will need to cite it in your reference list. Learning Activities o Examine a patient centered protocol/policy at the facility where you practice that incorporates evidence-based practice and possibly a theoretical framework (theory of nursing).  If the patient-centered protocol/policy doesn’t formally mention/include a theoretical framework (nursing theory), then make recommendations for which theoretical framework (nursing theory) would be appropriate to guide the policy for nursing practice. Indicate why you believe that the theory you selected could improve the policy and why. Lastly, re-write the policy with theory included and cited with references.
