The instructor was observed to apply unique strategies to maintain and manage the learning environment. Firstly, the instructor created a learning environment envisioned in both the cognitive and physical spaces. Creating the cognitive space involved setting expectations for the students in terms of procedures and rules, having a motivational climate, and presenting an engaging environment. The third strategy is being creative with the course content since boredom would cause the learners to lose interest and become disengaged.
