The assigned topic is quality improvement, a topic that addresses four main objectives related to health care quality thus making it the most important. Firstly, it improves the experiences of medical personnel. Secondly, it reduced per capita cost of health care. Thirdly, it enhances the experiences and outcomes of patients. Finally, it improves population health. Medical personnel and practices with strong quality improvement orientation continually seek to improve their performance and patients’ outcomes, using the orientation to guide their practices to set priorities for the areas to improve and work required to achieve set goals (Black, 2016). Although quality improvement is a common concern, the methods used are likely to vary based on resources, circumstances and concerns. These methodology differences necessitate the presentation of new skills to meet the improvement goals, thus calling attention to the need to renew the awareness of quality improvement in health care.
