To take a proactive role in nursing policy, I need to have an email to my legislator about a current nursing issue.  Write a concise, professionally worded e-mail to one of the state-level legislators about a current nursing issue that is important. I will attach a sample of how the email needs to be formatted. I will fill out name of my legislator etc.

Performance Objective:

• Identify the ways nurses can personally take part in shaping future nursing care.

 

In addition:  at the bottom of the email, instead of a reference, I need:

The Issue;  three reasons or examples

The Requested Action;  three reasons or examples

The issue/action requested and examples DO NOT have to be lengthy. It is just a model to show an organization of your thoughts for the nursing issues being emailed about.
